Sexy Sounds: Aeroc’s Viscous Solid works well for making love or simply chillin’ with a nice glass of summer Chardonnay, while Spaced Out – the Very Best of Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner gave us a huge blast of retro fun as our favorite Trek characters crooned such ballads as “King Henry the Fifth, Mr. Tambourine Man, Lucy in the Sky With Diamonds, The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins,” and other nutty tunes.
Product Love: We’re totally smitten with the sexy storage solutions from NY-based company For Your Nymphomation. Whether you need a small case for condoms, a place to keep your Hitachi Magic Wand safe, or a giant trunk to haul your dungeon around, FYN Founder Vera Worthington has a solution. Vera is another one of our favorite people inhabiting the sex-positive side of the adult industry and her wonderfully cliché east coast accent and unapologetically gothic style captured our hearts the second we were introduced.
Another storage solution to explore is the ToiBocks, from Dawn Tulman’s company of the same name. The signature product is a gorgeous wooden box, which one would be hard-pressed to distinguish from a high-end jewelry container, has an innovative locking mechanism whereby one waves a secret key in just the right spot to gain entry. The ToiBocks is nice and roomy as well, meaning even “size queens” have a place to tuck their best friends. A second and no less discrete storage container is the ToiTissue, which is not only beautiful as tissue boxes go, but has a side opening drawer perfect for storing condoms, cash, jewelry, and/or slim toys.
Final Thoughts: Our post-store life is getting better, with online revenues up slightly over this same period last year. The real upside is that we’ve been spending lots of time with our son and have been able to enjoy a level of freedom we haven’t known in the five years since taking the dive into “brick and mortar” retail. This means it’s time to once again focus on our Love LA Show, which we still believe to be a huge opportunity for everyone in our industry and beyond.
