Our Review:
In late 2006, a product called The Cone hit the market, becoming a smash hit for the simple reason it didn't look anything like a sex product. In fact, The Cone's basic shape, easy operation, and fun pink color were so compelling to buyers, they often didn't care whether or not the device actually produced orgasms. The Eroscillator, for example, which virtually guarantees mind boggling climaxes, barely sold 1/10th as well as The Cone, with magazines from Cosmopolitan and Redbook publishing photos and gushing articles raving about it.
We jumped on the bandwagon ourselves, selling plenty of Cones and remarking at the Adult Novelty Expo later that year that someone should pick up on the basic shapes idea and produce something like a BALL or round shape with similar properties. We even told the Cone folks about the idea only to be blown off.
Guess we should've done something about it ourselves.
So here we are in 2008 and Big Teaze Toyz has released the Tuyo, exactly what we told the folks at the Cone to produce (albeit our imagined version was a bit larger and made from different material). A sphere about the size of a baseball, the Tuyo contains a powerful - yet quiet - motor that provides three speeds and five different vibration patterns. The majority of its surface area is smooth hard plastic, with a non-slip band around the item's equator, and the control is activated by pressing a small button at the Tuyo's northern pole. All in all, the Tuyo has a nice weighty feel that gives the sense you're holding a solidly constructed item worthy of its $75.00 price tag.
In operation, the sexual functionality is decent enough. We were able to manipulate the Tuyo easily enough, though we do wish it had a higher power setting (remember, we review a LOT of vibrators, so it takes a bit more "oomph" to get things moving toward orgasm). That said, where we absolutely loved this device was in the realm of massage and foreplay. Rolling it over the neck and shoulder areas provided soothing vibrations while a little downward pressure had us sighing with delight. For us, setting the Tuyo on its lowest or medium settings, then rolling it all over the body (especially inner thighs, feet, and nipple areas) gave us the necessary motivation to engage other body parts. In fact, we now use the Tuyo to relieve neck stress while kicking back watching television or reading in bed.
In summation, while this handy sphere can definitely add to your sexual reparte, the Tuyo is a winner for so much more.
