Our Review:
Fantasies – How often do you think about them? I know, I know, when do we
have time? Most of us live in the day when you are part of a duel income
relationship that have children and are involved in a myriad of duties. So,
how often do you think about fantasies?
If you
are like me, you don’t have time, or at least that is what you say. But
when you put 20 stories together in one book, all you need is a quiet space,
your favorite drink and about an hour of your time. Not too much to ask I
think. Even if you allow yourself enough time to read just one story, it
will make you carve out more time the next day. Trust me.
Within
“Quick Fix”, anyone that is involved in a relationship can relate to this
little vignette of creating and fulfilling a fantasy of being a bit on the
voyeur side and walking the line of wanting to be caught doing the wild
thing. Yet, in “The 9.30 to Edinburgh”, I was enthralled by the story of a
young woman who is traveling on the train and the escapade she gets involved
in.
In “When
I Make You Say No”, the fantasy is more about who’s the boss and who has
more control ~ you or your man. Of course, the woman always wins out.
In
“Teddy”, the reader becomes enthralled with the domineering bitch that is
looking to become the submissive role. The transformation that takes place
is sizzling from beginning to end, almost to the point that you don’t want
the story to end.
“The
Accidental Exhibitionist” exposes the various emotions that play within
one’s senses. Not realizing that you enjoy being an exhibitionist until you
are fully into playing the role makes it a bit disconcerting. And within
this erotic story, you can feel the pain and the enjoyment of it all.
In
“Discipline”, you get to imagine what it may be like to live vicariously
through the main character as a rock-star groupie. Although she is only a
“groupie” for a specific rock star lover aptly named Cockney Craven. To see
the insight of how a lover can touch something deep within one’s soul while
only having made love two times together, makes for an enjoyable, yet bitter
sweet ride.
Within
“The First Stroke” the opening sequence of this erotic story shows you how
one can grasp total power by the sheer simplicity of wearing only knee high
stiletto boots and a strap-on harness. Being that this topic is often
considered taboo, you sense the animalistic behavior that is often portrayed
in men, yet desired by many women. Being able to feel what it would be like
to be in reversed roles while giving such pleasure makes this one of my
favorite reads.
It’s no
surprise that I am a big fan when it comes to Erotica. I think that the
partnership of written words and all aspects of human sensory, such as
auditory and oral, can release a wonderful world of sexual imagination. They
can transport you to a place that you can live out a healthy fantasy. I
truly believe that erotica can enhance one’s sexuality, whether for
themselves or in my case, with a partner.
