Erotica on CD, who would
of thunk it?! Well, Sounds Publishing, Inc did! Sounds Erotic
was developed with the unique idea of putting erotic audio stories on CD’s. Brilliant, I tell you! I
have a great fondness
for erotica. The stories can take you away to any fantasy,
whether it be as innocent as getting a glimpse of the sexy
neighbor showering naked from your window
or sexier yet, by having a hot fiery episode
with that very same neighbor. We are still talking fantasy, of
course (can’t get Freddy
too jealous). There are three different levels of explicitness,
which enable the Sounds Erotic CDs to speak to a wide variety of
different couples. The least racy is Sugar - adult situations,
but less-explicit language; Spice - adult
situations and language; and finally, Spank - edgier stories (mild
bondage, etc.), but still respectful, fun and
sexy.
The first release in the series is called
“Dulce Amore” (Sugar Series – 1). This collection contains 9
different short but sexy stories. Each story varies from
7 to 11 minutes and
is read by various female voices, which provides
a pleasant, yet sexy tone.
On Dulce Amore, I especially like “Rained
In”, where the short concerns a couple returning home after a
not-so-successful vacation. Their horrible vacation gets a reprieve when
the couple gives up their airline seats for a 24 hour layover. Within that
time span, they discover that their passions have awakened
from a deep slumber, and that a dreary, rainy day can release hot passionate
love, even within the confines of their hotel room.
Another short called
“Love & War” is quite comical yet so realistic to couples who have been
married for a while. It is a wonderful story about how a couple explores
other avenues to keep the spice in their love life. Paint ball will have a
different meaning to the listener after hearing this short. Funny and lively at the very least!
“Moonlighting” was by far my favorite, where the short is about how
the male lover takes to stripping once he is laid off from his programming
job. To hear how it charges their relationship up is quite titillating.
Second
in the series is the Spice Series -1 & 2. Again, there are 9 short stories
on each of the CD’s although they are (to me) sexier than the Sugar Series.
On Kiss Your Ear, I especially liked “The Big Tip”, where the short
told of a story of a waitress who falls for the “cute” customer who ends up
giving the best “Big Tip” ever. And then wants a continuous
reservation. Another short called
“Falling for Giancarlo” caters to every woman’s fantasy of falling for the
strong, dark, Italian stranger while
traveling abroad.
When they say “falling,” the character in this short physically falls for
him - off a train that is. The sexiness of this story will get you hot and sizzling!
On Nibbles & Bites, I loved “Moving Violation’, which seemed to use
the cliché of the older woman/younger man. There’s nothing wrong with that
scenario mind you, but it had a nice twist of having the woman in the power
role as a cop pulling over a young surfer dude. Of course this “dude” was
described deliciously. The short gives you a great ride with a nice ending
that gets your motor revving.
The third
series is the Spank! Series - 1&2. These versions are quite sexy and naughty, just the way I like it! There are 9
short segements on each of these CDs.
In Tongue & Tied, I found that “Gift Wrapped” was quite an opening
story. This short involved a couple that had been marriage for 10 years and
was in need of rekindling their passion. The birthday gift from the wife
more than rekindled, it was more like filling out a fantasy! The gift was
bondage, another woman and self pleasure. Need I say more?!
Within A Lick & A Promise, I found
myself thinking that I was one of the characters of the short “Toysland.”
This story is of two women who venture out to the land of sexual toys when they
discover that
one of them has never had
an orgasm. The discovery that this one character makes for herself and
in turns shares with her partner, brings a smile to my face. Having had this
experience myself made the story “come” alive.
The entire collection of the Sounds
Erotic CDs covers most facets of relationships. The stories are quite sweet
and
romantic, yet are bound to get you in the mood
with the underlying sexiness that they exude. I really love listening to them with Freddy
in our car and he will sometimes put them on as audio “background”
while we get ourselves in the mood,
so to speak. I would like to see the involvement of male voices within the
series, as I think they would make them even sexier. But then I’m sure they
will just add more series, since they have
done so well with the all the rest. The ability
to use your imagination while being fed the
description
from the short can make the imagery so real, so personal, and so hot!

First, I like this product quite a bit. I
find the stories fun, sexy, and appropriate for just about ANY couple - even
the more adventurous Spank Series, which contain harsher language and
situations. The production values are nothing short of phenomenal and each
and every segment is crystal clear and easy to decipher. My favorite time to listen to Sounds Erotic CD's is either in
the car (most stories are 7 minutes or less, so even short trips can fit one
or two stories) or while giving Eddy a massage. Something about listening to
sexy situations while my wife is naked and covered with oil, well, you get
the picture.
I do have two complaints, however, that I
hope the producers of this innovative product will address. The first is the
lack of male voices in ALL the stories. Is it too much to ask that one or
two might have a MAN's point of view? How about stories where the narrators
voices alternate between male and female? A couple telling a sexy story from
both points of view, working in concert toward a smoking climax seems like a
really good idea to me.
My second complaint is that the same
voices appear on ALL the CD's. It's a minor quibble, perhaps, but after
listening to five CD's of the same women telling EVERY story I began to find
it redundant and the stories losing their impact. If I were simply a
customer buying the Sounds Erotic series, I might be more titillated if a
wider range of actors (different accents signifying different ethnicities or
geographical regions might be nice) were used. During my first listen to
"Tongue and Tied," for example, I found myself thinking, "Wait, wasn't that
woman just tying her husband to a chair? How could she now be
doing..."
In summation, I think this is a great
product with a great future if they expand and add diversity to their
lineup. The CD's are a wonderful alternative to adult video and even their
raciest stories are unlikely to offend all but the most conservative of
couples.
