fun, concise, and informative book on sex toys and how to use them.
Our Review: Never
has the phrase "good things come in small packages" rung so true
as with this little jewel of a book. A fun and irreverent read,
you could almost make the mistake of missing the wealth of great
information if you're not careful. For in its compact 150-odd
pages, you'll find information on just about every type of sex toy
imaginable and some you may not have imagined as well.
The book is
written by Sadie Allison, who scored a best seller with her first
effort,
Tickle Your Fancy, which teaches the art of female
pleasure and takes us from foreplay through introducing sex toys
to advanced anal play. All the while, the author CLEARLY states
what each toy does and how to use it. Sizing of dildos, for
example, includes an actual chart to guide you to a proper fit,
then goes on to show (with nice illustrations) how to integrate
them both solo AND with your partner. Both Eddy and I were amazed
to learn several new positions and techniques we'd never even
imagined in the course of our 16 years together and we've since
integrated a few into our sexual routines.
As the book
progresses beyond the basics, you can expect to find some great
explanations of strap-on sex, anal penetration, and even some
words devoted to the male prostrate that has me rethinking my
whole "no innies in my outties" philosophy. Want to know about
fake vaginas? It's here. How about cock rings? Yep. Toothbrushes,
produce, armchairs? Check check check. It's hard to believe so
much could be covered in so short a read, but we guess that's the
beauty.
In summation,
this small book is a MUST have for all couples - beginner to
advanced. The writing is top notch, the illustrations are clear,
and the information is accurate and motivating. Though we've
certainly read books that go deeper, this one goes farther.
