Eddy's Review: The use of earthly elements such as wood, granite & stainless steel has been around for about 5 years.  So, the introduction of aluminum toys wasn’t going to be far behind. Tantus, Inc. decided to add another dimension to their line of premium silicone adult toys by introducing “Alumina”, a line of dildos and plugs made of aeronautic grade aluminum and have been anodized for increased corrosion and wear resistance.    

Tantus was kind enough to send us one out of the collection.  Out of the four different styles within the Alumina line, they sent us the “Motion”.  When you first pick it up, you might think it would be too heavy, but it is quite light and slick yet has a purpose.  The “Motion” has the specification of Diameter: 1 3/8" - 1" Length: 8.25" Weight: 8.77 oz.   

When I first opened the “Motion” I thought “Oooh, how pretty!” The anodized color that Tantus chose is a cool purple, my favorite color.  It is cool to the touch, but as you play with it, it warms to your body temperature.  The “Motion” has quite a few angles to it.  Its main design is having conical style tips on both ends in various sizes.  One end has a smaller version of the conical point then has a thin neck, which then flows into a larger conical base.  The opposite end starts with a large 2” conical point then flows into a more rounded middle.  The two ends actually separate by unscrewing the opposite ends.  There is an O-ring that also attaches so that the dildo/plug is waterproof.  I would assume that if you ventured and bought more of the Alumina line, you could interchange the pieces depending on your mood. 

As I played with it, the coolness of the piece was quite nice.  I like the sensory change while playing with toys, especially when it is made with a specific earthly element, like aluminum.

It didn’t take much time for my body to realize that this felt great.  I didn’t need lube, but all you would need is a drop or two since the anodized aluminum is not porous so it would be quite slippery.   While playing with the “Motion”, I felt that the combination of weight, girth in design and the ridge off the larger conical end made it a great toy for g-spot play.  It was a great toy to play solo with but it also is a nice addition with your partner.  The long length lends a hand to making it a wand for you and your partner to play with each other.  Although Freddy and I played with it only vaginally, I also think it would be a great tool for intro to anal.  Play! Displaying the form and function of their silicone line, the Alumina series of insert ables ups the ante for competitors, while forging new ground for Tantus as a real player in the adult product market. Suffice it to say, using it with my lovely wife has been orgasmic to say the least, and its sturdy construction means - like all Tantus products - the Alumina Motion will be in our collection long after our ashes are spread at sea. A winner in every respect, we once again tip our genitals to the Tantus owner and her design team.
