Eddy's Review:
Soft,
luxurious, being wrapped in pure indulgence. This is my
definition of the Esse by Liberator. It is designed to create a
place for you and your partner to explore the different positions
of the Kama Sutra. Its curvy shape with the extra Scoop makes for
a wondrous sexual time!
The Esse is a
rather large piece of furniture. Its’ dimension is 24”Width, 25”
Height and 64” Length. As with the entire line of Liberator, the
Esse is made of Champagne Foam. It is firm and durable for play
time yet it is supportive and cushiony. Its covering is made of
their signature, machine washable Microfiber skins, while having a
second layer of silky nylon for additional play time. The width of
the Esse makes it easy for two people to get into different
positions yet holds the body weight with ease.
 The
Esse also comes with a Mini Scoop which adds to the fun by turning the curvy
Esse into a chaise lounge for multiple other uses. It enables a person to
lay back and enjoy the relaxation of reading a book or working on a laptop
on a firm yet comfortable piece of furniture. Or better yet, once in place,
the Esse now has the ability to let two people get into various sexual
positions. You may also remove the Mini Scoop and place it under the Esse to
raise one end to add yet more versatility.
We loved the ability
to move around the Esse, yet it was also very comfortable for both of our
bodies to lay upon. It was a lot of fun trying out new positions while
having the soft yet firm structure of the Esse hold us together. The
wonderful ease of washing the cover makes this furniture a plus for our
household.
Freddy's Take: I have to admit I'd like to see this company stumble a
bit. Though I like him, I find the owner to be a bit on the arrogant side,
so it would be nice to see him brought down to earth one day. However, this
product certainly will not accomplish humbling him anytime soon, for it's
every bit as good as advertised and better, if you can believe it.
Constructed from the same indestructable foam as the rest of the Liberator
shapes and covered in fabric that miraculously seems to get better with each
washing, the Esse was one hard item with which to part after testing was
finished and it was time to transport it to our LA store. "Bummed" summed up
our moods that day, for sure.
Like
our beloved Tantra Chair, the Esse
follows a similar shape and design to allow for multiple (almost limitless)
sexual positions and we took full advantage of just about every suggestion
their extremely well-made instruction booklet offered up - and then some.
The Esse is comfy, well-made, and fun as heck. Our only complaint would be
that it doesn't do much to enhance the Shabby Chic-inspired decor of our
home (the Tantra Chair feels much more fitting in our living room, for
example), but it's light enough to move easily when guests visit or we
simply can't stand looking at it next to our slip covered chairs. Before
moving it to our store, we simply placed it in our son's room, where he
added it to the other Liberator shapes to continue his Lego adventures.
In
summation, this is yet another fantastic piece of foam fun from the folks at
OneUp and we can't recommend it highly enough.
