Synopsis:
A lubricant that warms wherever applied.
Freddy Says:
When it comes to warming substances,
like clit creams and such, we tend to shy away for a number of
reasons. For one, since most products in this category are
basically unregulated by the FDA, ingredient lists are often
non-existent or difficult to decipher. Worse, many contain the
amino acid L-Argenine, which has been found to cause yeast
infections in alarmingly high percentages of women. Another
problem we have is that even those products which do adequately
label their contents often contain nothing more than some
peppermint derivative, meaning we can accomplish the same goal
of warming using nothing more than toothpaste.
All that said, however, we do remain open to considering
such topical potions and were happy to stumble upon an Australian company
(Four Seasons) at the 2007 AVN show in Las Vegas. Known for their extremely
high quality condoms, Four Seasons had just released a line of lubricants,
one of which is the subject of this review. Called ICE, the product is a
water-based gel, suitable for use with condoms (which makes sense coming
from a condom manufacturer), which purports to give a warming sensation
during intercourse, increasing with friction as love making progresses. The
main ingedient responsible for this claim is menthol, a pretty safe
substance in our estimation. And despite the fact ICE would not be released
until Spring, the sales rep happily scored us a tube to try out.
And we didn't wait long. That night, in our crappy room at
the Imperial Palace (a dump wedged between the Venetian and Bally's that
needs to be demolished), we applied a few drops and got down to business.
For me, the results were immediate; I felt a fantastic warmth "down there"
that continued to accompany me throughout our sexual interlude.
Unfortunately, my wife didn't get quite the striking result I did, but the
substance was certainly not uncomfortable or inhibiting for her in any way.
In future encounters, the same pattern pretty much held
true, with me loving the increased warmth and loving the more intense
orgasms that come with it, she sort of noticing but not totally convinced in
ICE's warming powers. In fact, I keep (my second) bottle right next to the
Eroscillator and Sliquid Silk on
our headboard at all times.
In summation, I love this stuff. The ingedients are listed
and its condom safe, water based, and priced reasonably for most consumers.
Highly recommended.
