Amazing locales,
great soundtrack, and outstanding camera work put this title
in a class by itself. |

In the first "Island Fever," Digital Playground took a collection of
the most popular and great looking adult stars (male and female) to Maui and
filmed some of the most beautiful sex ever to grace a porn title. "Island
Fever," starring Tera Patrick, Briana Banks, and Julia Ann became the top
selling title of 2002 and won numerous adult industry awards, while
garnering Editor's Choice in almost every adult (and some mainstream)
publication in existence. It was therefore natural that a sequel would be
produced, as there is for almost any successful film, adult or not. The
question would be, in our minds, would Digital Playground take the cheap and
cheesy way out and throw together a crappy title just to ride coat tails on
the first film, or would they try to up to ante and actually top it?
We're happy to
report that, not only did they surpass the original, but they have
now finally succeeded in making a porn film bordering on erotic
art. Throw in a great "making of" segment and you have all the
makings of a classic and sure-fire bet to become the best selling
adult video ever.
The film starts
with sweeping footage of the Hawaiian islands, then moves slowly
into scene after scene of the stars making love (that's right,
making love - not fucking) in lush forests, waterfalls, lava beds,
and at the ocean's edge. Thankfully, there's no attempt at plot or
acting, and Tera really seems to give each scene everything she
has, while Devon's scenes are all with her (real life) husband at
the time (Barrett Blade). Except for a section with Stormy (a
buxom blonde) that is obviously NOT in Hawaii, each scene is
filmed in soft tones, with kissing and tenderness heavily
emphasized. We ended up taking almost a week to get through all of
the scenes, as almost all of them revved our engines and caused us
to hit the pause button.
In short, "Island
Fever 2" has surpassed the original and now occupies the top spot
on our list of favorites. We think it's a great couples title.
